I'm surprised the day care isn't coming up with their own ideas. It's good, though, that you're willing to come up with ideas and bring supplies in. One idea may be to have her come up with some ideas she likes. She'll feel empowered, and will focus on it more if it's her own ideas.

One thing you could do is to decorate their own shirts. You could get the stuff for tie-die, or some simple fabric markers/paint and stencils for them to take a plain white t-shirt, and make their own design. One thing I did with my 2 year old granddaughter, but that I think a kid of any age would enjoy was to make homemade bird feeders.
