where do I pore the liquid fragrance for the venta sonic ultrasonic humidifier?

I have a bottle of a fragrance that I got from bed, bath, and beyond... where do I pore it into the venta sonic ultrasonic humidifier? Do I pore the liquid directly into the water?

That manual specifically says, "Do not add medication, fragrances, or oils of any type into the nozzle, base, or
water tank."

This site doesn't mention a specific model number but it gives the same warning for Venta humidifiers. "It is not advisable to place medication and fragrance oils into the base, nozzle or water tank."
